Exams done, long summer coming...

My first race of the season in Denmark took place 10 days ago. Running race after exam could not be any better, so I just had to grab my running shoes and get to the starting line. The race was ca 15k from home and in order to pre-warm-up, I decided to bike. It was just a small race in a small town with plenty of spectators, who were great at cheering on runners. I generally prefer big races, but sometimes it's nice to do a small race, where entry fee suits my student budget. The 7-K race started and finished in front of the local supermarket and the course was a little hilly in places , but who doesn't love a good challenge? As the gun went off, the race got out quickly and realized soon I have almost forgotten how it feels to run in red zone. The winner of the race took off fast at the start and created a gap I couldn't narrow. I crossed the finish line after 26:35 and in second place, ca 1 min behind him.

I came to Copenhagen on Wednesday after my final exam and will hang out here few days more, before I'm heading home to Estonia for summer holiday. Have had a wonderful time here so far.
